Coming Soon: Fall Preview

1 Sep

After seeing a couple of movies in theater recently (like The Help, Crazy, Stupid, Love. and Rise of the Planet of the Apes), I’m all kinds of excited for the fall movie season! Some of these are definite Oscar contenders, while some aren’t, but all are movies I’m looking forward to seeing over the next few months!

First up is Contagion (in theaters on September 9). With a star studded cast, including Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne and Jude Law, this looks like a solid, suspenseful end of the world type movie, which I love, so this is a must-see for me!

I Don’t Know How She Does It (out on September 17) is likely not on the ol’ Oscar list here, but what can I say? I’m a sucker for Sarah Jessica Parker and Christina Hendricks. Greg Kinnear and the fact that it was mostly filmed in Boston doesn’t hurt it either.

I’m probably most excited about The Ides of March (in theaters October 7). Directed by and starring George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, Evan Rachel Wood, Paul Giamatti and Philip Seymour Hoffman, this movie is already on many critics’ likely best picture nominees lists.

What movies are you most excited about seeing this fall? Leave ’em in the comments!

Ides of March looks like it is going to be one of the best movies out this year, by far! I can’t wait to see it. Love the look of your blog, btw!

I am on board with seeing any of those with you, FYI. You didn’t mention the new Twilight movie though! 🙂
